Privacy notice: registration for a free seat
This notice covers the registration for a free seat for Autopilot for Delphi: the form, the pages under gabrielmoraru.com/tools/autopilot-seat/ and the mails that belong to it. It does not cover the rest of the website.

What we store
- your name and your email address;
- the time you registered and the time your seat started;
- the version of the licence you accepted;
- whether you want mails about new versions, the time you said yes, and the time you stopped them.
Until you use the link in our mail, we also keep a fingerprint of that link, for 7 days at most. We do not store your IP address with your registration.
Why, and on which legal basis
- Your free seat. We use your name and email address to give you the free seat and to manage it under the licence. This is necessary for the licence contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without your name and email address we cannot give you a seat.
- Mails about new versions. Only if you tick that box, and only after you confirm your email address. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the link in each such mail, or by writing to us. The withdrawal does not affect the mails sent before it. The box is optional: your seat does not depend on it.
- Protection against spam. We count the registrations from each IP address per hour. We do not store the IP address for this: we store only a short code computed from it, which more than 65,000 other IP addresses share, so the code does not point to you. The counters start again from zero every hour. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who processes the data for us
- Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus) stores the data on the web server of this website. That server stands in the USA. Hostinger works for us under its data processing addendum, which is part of its terms of service.
- Titan Solution Ltd SEZC (Cayman Islands) sends our mails, under its own data processing addendum. Titan keeps its customers' data with Amazon Web Services, Inc. in the USA. [UNVERIFIED: the AWS region of our mailbox - Titan names only the country.]
So your data goes to countries outside the EU: the USA, and for Titan the Cayman Islands. Both addenda include the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) for such transfers.
We do not sell your data and we do not give it to anyone else.
How long we keep it
- A registration that is not confirmed within 7 days is deleted.
- A started seat is kept as long as the seat exists, because it is the record of your licence. We delete it when you ask.
- Your consent to mails about new versions lasts until you withdraw it. The record of when you gave it and when you withdrew it stays with your seat.
Is anything decided automatically?
Your seat starts when you click the button on the page that our mail links to. A registration is declined only when its email address or its domain is on a block list that we keep by hand.
Cookies and tracking
The pages under gabrielmoraru.com/tools/autopilot-seat/ and our mails set no cookies and contain no tracking.
Your rights
You have the right to get a copy of your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17), or its processing restricted (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable form (Art. 20), and to object to its processing (Art. 21). You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77).
To use your rights, write to Contact@SciVance.Tech, or reply to one of our mails.
