Reading this website
You do not need to give your name or your e-mail address to read this website. Comments are open only to registered users, and registration is closed. So the site stores no comments from visitors.
The web server
Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus) runs the web server of this website. The server stands in the USA. Like every web server, it receives your IP address and the address of the page you ask for, because it cannot send you the page without them. Hostinger works for me under its data processing addendum.
Buying a book
Printed books are sold by Amazon. Amazon handles your order, your address and your payment, under its own privacy policy.
eBooks are paid through PayPro Global, my authorized payment processor. I do not collect or see your credit card number. I receive your e-mail address, so I can send you the unlock key.
When you write to me, I use your e-mail address only to answer you. I do not sell your e-mail address to anyone. I do not send newsletters unless you have explicitly subscribed.

Cookies, Analytics & Advertising
This site uses two Google services. Both store small files (cookies) in your browser.
Google Analytics – visitor statistics
Google Analytics tells me how many people visit my pages and which pages they read. It sets the cookie _ga, which tells one visitor from another and lasts 2 years. Each site has its own _ga cookie, so it cannot follow you to other sites. I see only totals, never who you are. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, Analytics stores its cookie only after you agree.
Google AdSense – advertising
Some pages show ads from Google AdSense. The ads pay for part of the free code and the articles on this site. The home page, the pages about my books, my consultancy and my company, and this privacy page show no ads.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let Google and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Examples are __gads, __gpi and __eoi; they last up to 13 months. If you agree in the consent box, some of Google’s advertising partners may also recognize your device by reading its characteristics (device fingerprinting). Without your agreement, they do not.
How Google uses this data: How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
How to say no
- In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, a consent window asks you before Google may use cookies for personalized ads. You can change your answer at any time with the link Privacy and cookie settings at the bottom of the pages that show ads.
- Everywhere, you can turn off personalized ads in Google’s Ads Settings, or turn off the personalized ads of many ad companies at www.aboutads.info.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every page of this site works without cookies.
